We spent the weekend with my mom and dad, and today we came home a little earlier than planned. A lot of our day was taken up with driving home, and a nap for me (Claire didn't sleep well last night, so neither did I), but we were still able to get some play time in.
Claire's OT brought some new toys over for her. My favorite thing about new toys is to see which parts she really enjoys and picks up right away. This is a toy where you hit the ball from the top, it rolls through the toy and comes out the bottom.
Right away Claire has figured out that the pink ball is the easiest to drop down and she goes for it right away. Her other favorite part of the toy is the first ball. It's clear ball, with smaller ball inside and makes quite a racket when she shakes it. She takes all of the balls off the top of the toy, shakes them, and throws them aside until she finds the one she wants. It's a small thing, but I love seeing how her mind works. She is one smart cookie!
I think my kids had something like that as well. I think I had just as much fun with it as they did. It is great to see them figuring stuff out...she is a smart cookie!
ReplyDeleteClaire ROCKS! we love that toy...and that one sure is pleasing to the eye! I am amazed at Maddie and her naps...it has to be the same time and location...smiles
ReplyDeleteOkay, this little 30 day journey you and Kelly have decided to do,is so fun. Can't wait to follow along.
ReplyDeleteClaire is looking like such a toddler lately.so darn cute!
That toy looks fantastic! Arina would love it, and she would play so cute with sweet Claire!
ReplyDeleteThat does look like a fun toy. Well anything with balls has to be fun! She is too cute in that last photo. I like your close up shot too, at first I thought they were Easter eggs, lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun toy....Landon is a little stinker too, always taking the easy route first.....well actually, that pretty clever of them!!!! Love the pic of Claire at the end....she's getting so big!!!
ReplyDeleteMatthew's Developmental Therapist brought a similar toy too and Matthew loved it. This was when he was in Early Intervention. It's funny, he also figured out which ball when through the easiest. He also always went for the shaker balls, not the boring quiet ones. LOL!
